This training is suitable for delegates who work or spend time in a sports environment.
Delegates will concentration on first aid recognition and provision typically associated with sporting injuries. Delegates will take modules such as, bone, muscle and joint injuries, head injuries, wounds and bleeding as well as essentials such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and the role of a first aider.
We can tailor the course content to suit your sports environment. We can also deliver an extended session to cover more first aid topics to help you to comply with your risk assessment/ workplace health and safety requirements.
Candidates are continuously assessed by North East Ambulance Service trainers.
On successful completion of this course candidates will receive a North East Ambulance Service approved Sports Specific First Aid certificate which is valid for one year.
The course is four hours in duration and can be delivered on your premises at timings to suit you.
Training is carried out at your place of work.
