"We currently have around 28 first aiders in total as our company is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We ensure that there are always at least two first aiders on site.

The nature of roles within our organisation vary immensely, as do the potential risks. We have employees who work at heights, use tools and equipment, there are chemicals onsite and we have people working in a manufacturing environment.

Therefore the skills that our employees, and in particular first aiders, require are quite broad - from cuts and grazes to supporting incidents that may involve chemicals and toxic gases.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, as well as any visitors we have onsite, is our main priority. We have excellent safety processes in place and thankfully we have very few incidents. However to ensure this continues we work closely with NEAS to provide our first aiders with the skills and knowledge required to deal with potential illness or certain incidents on site.”
