This course equips you with the necessary skills to prevent and reduce the risk of fire and also to respond confidently should fire take hold at your place of work.
Fire can strike at any time and can spread very quickly. This course complies with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. For schools it also covers Regulation 17 of the Education (School Premises) Regulations 1999.
Candidates are continuously assessed by North East Ambulance Service trainers throughout the course.
On successful completion of this course candidates will receive a North East Ambulance Service approved Fire Safety certificate which is valid for one year.
The course will generally start at 9am and finish at 4pm.
Training is carried out at your place of work.
