Conflict Resolution Training provides frontline and public facing staff with the necessary skills to handle conflict and aggressive or violent behaviour. It can also help reduce the risk of litigation and improve staff confidence in managing difficult situations.
The learning outcomes of this training course encourage preventative measures to stop violent incidents from occurring in the first place, and are consistent with the aims shared by the HSE and the NHS Protect formally known as CFSMS. It is designed to help delegates recognise different aspects of conflict that they may encounter and to understand and be aware of different methods of resolving such conflicts. It focuses upon non-physical intervention techniques with the aim of equipping the course candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to identify and de-escalate potentially violent situations.
This course can be tailored to your specific business needs.
Candidates are continuously assessed by North East Ambulance Service trainers throughout the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a North East Ambulance Service approved Conflict Resolution certificate which is valid for three years.
The course will generally start at 9am and finish at 4pm.
Training is carried out at your place of work.
