A CPR course could mean the difference between life and death. The course lasts for one hour and teaches basic life-support skills to enable you to give life-saving support until an ambulance arrives. This course is ideally suited for anyone needing CPR training, from members of the public to medical professionals.
You can combine this course with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) familarisation. A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time but it’s possible to survive and recover if you get the right treatment quickly. Having a defibrillator in your workplace, and knowing how to use it, can dramatically increase the chances of survival if someone’s heart stops beating - but it must be used promptly. For every one minute delay in delivering the shock, survival reduces by up to 10%.
If you are an organisation, employer or individual who has an AED on your premises and would like to improve lifesaving first aid skills in your community, this course will help you to develop the appropriate skills to make a difference.

Candidates are continuously assessed by North East Ambulance Service trainers throughout the course.
On successful completion of this course delegates will receive a North East Ambulance Service approved CPR certificate which is valid for one year.
The course is one hour in duration and can be delivered on your premises at timings suitable to you.
Training is carried out at your place of work.
