This course is designed to recognise life threatening injuries and administer treatment. It equips learners with a higher level of medical skill meaning they can medically assist a patient until paramedics arrive and continue to assist the paramedic thereafter.
It provides fire and rescue personnel, non-operational managers and community responders with a recognised qualification. It also benefits the MOD, police forces, the prison service and private companies supplying rescue personnel, by providing the skills, knowledge and understanding to deal with medical emergencies until the ambulance service arrives.
This IEC programme is the only Ofqual regulated qualification in the UK that provides delegates with a Level 3 Certificate. It is delivered by Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered operational paramedics.
We offer a choice of syllabus to suit your organisation including fire and rescue, non-operation managers, community responders, MOD, police and prison officers and private companies supplying rescue personnel. This course is rated Category D on the FPHC PHEM Skills Framework.
As practical experience helps achieve delegate confidence, the programme is designed to be 60% theory and 40% practical.
