  Course Overview:

Sepsis is a rare life-threatening condition that can develop rapidly from what might be otherwise innocuous infections. There are an estimated 123,000 cases of sepsis per year in England, and around 36,800 associated deaths. In many cases however, sepsis is avoidable and treatable and early identification is key to successfully treating sepsis.

On this course delegates are given an overview of the condition and taught the skills to help identify the early stages of sepsis, the groups at higher risk, the signs and symptoms, and the actions necessary to secure early treatment.

This course is particularly suited for health and social care staff working in the community, care homes, within healthcare providers and those working with children and young adults from nursery to university.

We offer a number of other short courses that can be combined with this one, including AED and CPR. When you combine two courses you will receive a cost saving.
